Grade 8 VS Grade 1 & Plans

After a few windblown days delaying the start of school, 8th grade is now officially underway.  My girl spent weeks deciding what to wear her first day - gray skinny jeans and striped shirt - beautiful curls that she loathes, carefully straightened.

My boys picked out new outfits too.  It is interesting to see their varied tastes that shows how individual multiples can be.  This has been true since day one.

Back in the day when Mom picked out all their clothes - 7 yrs ago to the day in fact - the start of 1st grade. (boys spots are switched).

My how time flies.

Mike is in Salt Lake City and I am playing single mom these days - to the trio and the 2 adult children who are not to be mentioned on this blog, per their very specific instructions.

The plan is in place, with a few twists and turns and minor bumps in the road, but we are coping.  The kids questioned starting school here since we will be leaving mid October, but school is important and not to be missed, even if it is only 6 or 8 weeks.  Our plans for the remainder of the school year are not yet set.  There's a very good possibility we will homeschool the rest of the year, depending on where we will be living, which has not been determined yet either.  Mike is looking for a house, scoping out areas, schools, churches, etc.  Our two older boys will stay in our house here, renting it with a couple of friends.  I wish we could sell it, but the past couple of years of unemployment and underemployment have weighed heavily on the upkeep and repairs and that, along with the sinking home values have left us with a home that is worth less than what is owed.  So we will hang onto it for awhile, renting it out.

Back to packing .............

Full of admiration that you are doing this without your husband. Housing market in England is static. It took us 8 months until we got a buyer for our house. Very frustrating...
