I can't imagine having 3 teens (the same age). My girls are 16 & 22, so they were spaced far enough apart, that they were teens together for very long.

I blog is a parenting resource for parents with tweens/teens, covering dangerous teen trends (I'm not trying to advertise, but thought you might be interested in what teenagers face in this day & age.)

Although my boys are about 12 years behind yours, my husband says all the time how much fun they will have pitching and catching together. (I have BBG too.) I noticed your boys are wearing Hillcrest jerseys, we must live close to each other! That's our end of the valley. I'm sorry those museum tickets didn't work out during spring break. I have also missed your updates. Your blog was linked to another I read, and so I have been reading for a couple of years now. Your kids may be growing up, but they are still cute! I find it endearing that, at their age, they will even let you take their pictures. That tells me that they must be pretty good kids. I suppose I read your blog because I like your writing style. Your sense of humor is much like mine, and sometimes you make me laugh. I know what it is like to constantly worry about how the bills will get paid, and that is very stressful. I will keep you in my prayers.

Thank you for your kind words. I was only 21 when I lost my Granny - she was something special - had to be to have raised my Dad who was one of the most wonderful people in the world.

And Jane - Crisco is a vegetable shortening, used to grease cake pans, make biscuits light and flaky, etc - but not very healthy.
I'll have to recite cornbread for you next - it's a cake/pone made with corn meal - yummy!

This is such a sweet story. My Granny is 96 now. When I was a child I stayed with her and we made cheese straws and cheese scones. She used to have a coal fire and we had to soften the butter in front of it before we could use it. She doesn't cook any more but I make cheese scones and cheese straws with my younger daughter.

(Although it was via a couple of years of living working in London and Germany). Living without lots of snow is a plus. Germany cured me of any 'snow romance'. ;-)
